Alex Hales Gets hit Twice in the Groin During The Hundred

Batsmen, bowlers, and fielders all gave their all for their teams. In fact, ‘The Hundred’ has exceeded expectations.

The 100-ball competition has been nothing short of entertaining. However, the tournament has also been marked by bizarre incidents that caught the attention of the cricket community.

The positioning of wicketkeeper Tom Moores made headlines earlier this week. When Rashid Khan bowled, he stood far from the stumps.

The bizarre wicketkeeping was a topic of conversation on social media. Another incident caught everyone’s attention.

A match between the Oval Invincibles and Trent Rockets at Kennington Oval in London was disrupted by the incident on 22nd of September. Rain ruined some of the fun earlier in the game.

As soon as the rain stopped, the match was reduced to 65 balls per side due to a wet outfield. Trent Rockets’ Lewis Gregory won the toss and elected to bowl first. The team scored 116/8 in their quota of 65 balls. Lewis Gregory led all scorers with 28 points, including four fours and a six.

He is shot in the groin two times

An injury to the groin can be extremely painful. Alex Hales, the batsman for the Trent Rockets, was hit twice in the groin.

Hales was hit once in the groin by left-arm pacer Reece Topley and fell to the ground. He was screaming in pain before the physio rushed to the field.

Soon after that, he got hit in the same area by the same pacer Topley, in what was a very rare occurrence. Alex Hales scored 25 off 15 balls including 3 fours and a six. Oval Invincibles won the game by 9 runs Jason Roy’s 59 off 29 (4 fours, 4 sixes).
