Well, the 5th Test match between England and India didn’t happen in Manchester, but there is no loss in cricketing action as the world’s biggest cricket league, the Indian Premier League 2021 returns from 19th September.
The Indian Premier League’s 2021 edition began on the 9th of April with a big match between the Mumbai Indians and the Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, the tournament had to be halted Midway through the tournament due to a number of COVID-19 positive cases inside the IPL 2021 bio secure bubble.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India initially faced a lot of struggle in rescheduling the tournament, but finally the United Arab Emirates (UAE) was finalized as the venue for the remaining of the matches.
All the 8 franchises that will be participating in the competition have already arrived in UAE and has also hit the ground running with the training. Teams and players have shared training photos on their social media accounts.
Mumbai Indians all-rounder Hardik Pandya also took some time out to share an Instagram story in which he is seen talking with fellow Kolkata Knight Riders’ wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik. “Seeing my joker after so long” added Hardik Pandya as caption in his story with some heart and laughing emojis.
