England lost 3 wickets for 55 runs on day 1. Umesh Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah bowled well to keep the opposition at bay. Bumrah dismissed Rory Burns and Haseeb Hameed.
Umesh Yadav in his traditional format was excellent. He announced his arrival with style by taking the wicket of Joe Root. In this series, England’s Test captain has scored the most runs.

Jarvo, who appeared to be an England fan, suddenly invaded The Oval wearing a Team India jersey. He ran towards Jonny Bairstow with the red ball in hand only to surprise him.
The video clip of Jarvo colliding with Bairstow has been making the rounds on social media. The fact that Jarvo made it this far was no surprise to anyone.
