Post Yuzvendra Chahal’s Expulsion From WC 2021, Dhanashree Verma Shares a Message

After the Indian team for the ICC World Cup 2021 was unveiled yesterday, the BCCI raised several questions. The announcement included 15 players names, with some surprising selections and exclusions. In addition, three extra players have been nominated as reserve cricketers in case something goes wrong.

Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant, and Ishan Kishan make up India’s batting order. Ravichandran Ashwin, Akshar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja, Rahul Chahar, and Varun Chakravarthy were among the spinners.

The only pacers picked by the management were Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar. The reserve list includes players like Shreyas Iyer, Shardul Thakur, and Deepak Chahar.

However, Yuzvendra Chahal’s exclusion is perhaps the most shocking. According to chief selector Chetan Sharma, the reason for Chahal’s absence is that the UAE surfaces require a quick spin bowler.

Dhanashree Verma’s emotions were all over the place as she shares an emotional story on Instagram – “Ye Waqt Bhi Guzar Jaega.” You can see the video of that tale here:

Chahal didn’t have a great first half of IPL 2021 as he would have expected.

Decisions can be changed based on Phase 2 of IPL 2021 as the squad however is not complete. Chahal still has a chance to make the team depending on his performance in the Indian Premier League. During Phase 1, he has taken four wickets from seven games. It will be intriguing to watch if he can turn his fortune around with the matches being played on turning tracks.
