With the likes of such great batters mentioned and especially Ponting and de Villiers being mentioned, the pull shot has been made a work of art in recent times that is admired by fans across the globe. Most of these batters were brilliant executors of it and the fans appreciated such aggressive cricket.

The player recently executed a brilliant pull shot against the Sri Lankans, in a game that his team lost by 14 runs. The player made a hard-fought 96 but could not finish the job. The home side had made 300/9 in their 50 overs, batting first. In response to that, the visitors made a total of 286/6 in their quota of overs.

Avishka Fernando scored a brilliant 118 off 115 balls to push his team to a really good total. In response, the Proteas crumbled despite a brilliant knock by Aiden Markram. Keeping that in mind, the home side now leads the three-match ODI series 1-0. Fernando was judged the Man Of The Match for his performance with the bat.

On the other hand, it was disheartening to see Aiden Markram on the losing side. He was brilliant with the bat. However, South Africa failed to get the job done. It was a good game to watch and the tide could have turned either side. Despite that, in the end, the hosts did enough to ensure that they won the match.
