Gayle vs Ambrose; The Next Chapter

The legendary West Indian Bowler Curtly Ambrose has earlier said that Chris Gayle shouldn’t be an automatic pick for the T20 world cup squad. This led to Chris Gayle commenting on the matter on the Island Tea Morning Show yesterday.

“I am speaking about Curtly Ambrose. I am singling out Curtly Ambrose, one of your own. I highly respected him when I came into the West Indies team,” said Gayle. “”When I just joined the team, I looked up to this man. But I am now speaking from my heart. I don’t know what, since he retired, what he had against Chris Gayle.”

“I can tell you personally, and you can let him know that Chris Gayle, the Universe Boss, have no respect for Curtly Ambrose whatsoever.”

The 2012 & 2016 world cup winner went on to give an ultimatum to Ambrose. If Curtly continues to be negative and show no support for his country, Gayle said, “Universe Boss is going to be disrespectful, disrespectful verbally in their face”.

In CPL 2021, Chris Gayle Breaks Glass With a Six Off Jason Holder

The Caribbean Premier League began on a high note. The game was already close, and the league has just begun. The Guyana Amazon Warriors defeated the defending champions, Trinbago Knight Riders, in the opening match of the CPL.

By nine runs, the Amazon Warriors won. At Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts, Barbados Royals took on St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. The Patriots performed admirably.

St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots dominated from start to finish with a 21-run win. The Patriots added Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo in order to compete for the title. Sherfane Rutherford top-scored with 53 off 43 balls, including two fours and four sixes.

For St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, ‘Dwayne Bravo’ hit an unbeaten 47 from 35 balls. He built his innings with four fours and six sixes. Fabian Allen scored 17 off 9 balls, including two fours and a six.

St Kitts and Nevis Patriots scored 175 for the loss of 5 wickets in their quota of 20 overs. Oshane Thomas recorded three dismissals for the Barbados Royals.

Additionally, he maintained an impressive economy rate of 5.50, conceding 22 runs in 4 overs.

Jason Holder hits a spectacular six off Chris Gayle

Chris Gayle’s signing will boost the St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. Universe Boss is the king of Twenty20 cricket and still has a few years left.

During the game against The Royals, Gayle hit a six off Jason Holder’s bowling. Holder bowled right in the slot, and Gayle hit a straight six. The ball broke the glass in the end.

Gayle looked dangerous right off the bat, but he got out after scoring 12 off 9 (1 four, 1 six). Oshane Thomas messed up Gayle’s stumps. In terms of run-chasing, the Barbados Royals lacked teeth in the batting department.

In 20 overs, the team scored 154 for the loss of 7 wickets. Hope scored 44 off 38 balls, including four fours and a six.

Azam Khan made 28 off 16 balls, including three maximums. Sheldon Cottrell and Dominic Drakes each took two wickets for the Patriots. St Kitts and Nevis’ Patriots won by 21 runs. Sherfane Rutherford was named Player of the Match.

Dan Sammy Prediction; The World T20 Winner And Man Of The Match

West Indies will win the ICC T20 World Cup in 2021, predicts Daren Sammy, former captain of West Indies. The Men in Maroon are the defending champions. Aside from that, their wins are the only ones that have been repeated.

Sammy captained the West Indies team that won the ICC T20 World Cup in 2012 and 2016. After retiring from all forms of cricket, Sammy believes the Caribbean team can win their third T20 World Cup

Sammy said that picking the winner of the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 was a no-brainer for him during an ICC Digital Show. Windies’ favourites, according to him, are Keron Pollard, Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Jason Holder, Fabian Allen and Andre Russell.

“It’s a no brainer for me — West Indies all the way. When you look at West Indies, and people might say I’m sounding biased, but in the last four (three) tournaments we’ve managed to get to the final four, winning two out of that.”

According to Daren Sammy, a batsman scoring the most runs does not necessarily mean the team will win. In tournaments such as the ICC T20 World Cup, the teams must have an impact on the players in order to win.

Sammy was more concerned about winning the Player of the Tournament award than hitting and scoring the most runs. “I’m more interested in who is going to be the ‘Player of the Tournament.’ Somebody like Andre Russell, who bowls and bats and comes in at crucial times, will come out with that title,” Daren Sammy concluded.
