The Delhi Capitals have announced a replacement for Chris Woakes

Delhi Capitals, the IPL franchise, made a big announcement today. The Delhi-based franchise’s English all-rounder Chris Woakes has been officially replaced. Woakes pulled out of IPL 2021 before Phase 2 began.

In their overseas department, they already have three fast bowlers. Among the winners of the Purple Cap in the IPL 2020 are Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, and England all-rounder Tom Curran. Umesh Yadav and Ishant Sharma are also experienced, Indian fast bowlers.

Delhi did not use Nortje and Yadav in the first phase of IPL 2021 in India. They used Ishant Sharma, Kagiso Rabada, Chris Woakes and Tom Curran in their pace attack.

The pace-bowling attack of Delhi Capitals, runners-up in the IPL 2020, performed well in the first phase of the IPL 2021. Due to their performance, the Delhi Capitals were ranked number one on the points table when the IPL 2021 season was suspended.

Who will replace Chris Woakes?

Chris Woakes, who played for the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2021’s first phase, had withdrawn from the remaining matches. The Capitals have decided to sign an Australian player to fill the vacant overseas spot.

Woakes is a fast bowler, so the Delhi Capitals have also signed fast bowler Ben Dwarshuis. DC announced the replacement as follows:

Delhi Capitals today announced that English all-rounder Chris Woakes, who picked up 5 wickets in 3 matches in the first half of the VIVO IPL 2021, has pulled out of the tournament due to personal reasons. The Delhi Capitals have announced Australian fast bowler Ben Dwarshuis as Woakes’ replacement for the remainder of the IPL 2021 season.”

IND VS ENG: In the fourth Test, Rohit and Virat had a Light Banter

It has been a pleasure to watch Rohit Sharma play during the continuous series against England. To this point, the batsman has shown unimaginable perseverance on the field.

He scored runs when it mattered most by leaving conveyances outside the off-stump. It was also well received by fans when Rohit Sharma played red-ball cricket.

Certainly, he has changed his approach as a batsman to such an extent that he would come through with no problems in a perfect situation. It is true that he improved his batting average in Tests after he began opening for India.

As yet, he hasn’t scored a century abroad. Rohit scored an impressive 83 against England in the second Test at the Home of Cricket. James Anderson excused him despite scoring his first Test abroad.

Similarly, Rohit scored 50 in the second innings of the third Test match at Headingley. The innings was not overtaken after he achieved his success.

The 34-year-old flashy cricketer lacked executioner’s sense during the fourth Test at the Oval. He scored only 11 runs before being bowled out by Chris Woakes.

India was bowled out for 191 in the main innings. Top bowler Chris Woakes took four wickets. Day 1 ended with England scoring 53 points. Umesh Yadav bowled Joe Root.

Jasprit Bumrah excused Rory Burns and Haseeb Hameed. In the meantime, a video featuring Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli has been circulating online

While conversing with Virat Kohli at the slip, Rohit Sharma was not satisfied with something different. Rohit pointed at Kohli and said something to him while Kohli looked disappointed.

Rohit was not happy with something, whereas Kohli seemed relaxed and was giggling at the same time. In the main innings, England lost its best player.

India’s seamers will keep going in the principal innings. Britain is 138 runs behind and has 7 wickets in hand.
