Dinesh Karthik played his last international match during the 2019 ICC World Cup. Due to the presence of MS Dhoni, he didn’t get enough opportunities to prove himself as the side already had the wicketkeeping batsman. He later indulged himself in the commentary and cricket interviews.
As part of the commentary team for the inaugural ICC World Test Championship final between India and New Zealand in Southampton, Dinesh Karthik and Sunil Gavaskar were the only two Indians selected. Also during India’s tour of England, he served on the commentary panel. Additionally, he has interviewed cricketers.
He recently spoke with Indian opener Rohit Sharma. During the session, he revealed many secrets about the Hitman. His description of Rohit before his marriage to Ritika was funny. Karthik joked that Sharma used to cry when watching emotional scenes in Hindi films. Karthik shared a video of the same on his Instagram handle. Here is the video:
Karthik knew he had revealed some very important secrets during the interview. He even apologized in the Instagram caption later.
On 12th August, the 2nd Test match between India and England will be played at Lord’s Cricket Ground. It will be exciting to see how the game and the rest of the series develop.
