Parvez Rasool Accused of Stealing Pitch Roller by JKCA; Cricketer Upset

Parvez Rasool expressed his anger after JKCA accused him of stealing a pitch roller. The cricketer was dissatisfied with the treatment he received from the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association recently.

Parvez Rasool is the first cricketer from Jammu and Kashmir to play for India internationally. Recently, he received a letter from the state association.

Except for the cricketer’s district association, none of the district associations had mailing addresses. Gupta added that the cricketer’s name was found in his district as well.

Anil Gupta is a member of the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association’s sub-committee. Meanwhile, Anil Gupta said: “We have not only written to Rasool but to all district associations and whosoever has taken JKCA machinery from Srinagar.”

Anil Gupta gives an official statement

Machinery was distributed at district associations without any vouchers. In many districts where we don’t have a mailing address. The letter was sent to the concerned person whose name was registered with us.”

He (Rasool) took offence to why the mail was written to him,” Gupta said while speaking to The Indian Express. Parvez Rasool bit his lip in vexation as to how JKCA treated him. As a result, he wrote back to the association.

What Parvez Rasool wrote back to the JKCA?

The cricketer wrote: “This is to inform you that I Parvez Rasool first international cricketer have represented my country. I have played in IPL, Duleep Trophy, Deodhar Trophy, India A, Board president XI, Irani Trophy, captained the J&K Ranji team for the last 6 years.

I’m the only cricketer from J&K who got the best all-rounder award from BCCI 2 times. Today I got a letter stating that I have taken roller from JKCA which is really unfortunate… Let me clarify that I haven’t taken any roller or machine from JKCA. I am a player who is playing cricket.

“I just want to ask is the way to treat an international cricketer who has given life and soul to J&K cricket. You have an affiliated body in all districts; you should ask them for any JKCA equipment if present in their districts rather than me.”

For India, Parvez Rasool played in one ODI and one T20I. He took two wickets in ODIs. Parvez took just one wicket in the T20I. He played 11 games in the IPL. The 32-year-old took four wickets. Despite this, he didn’t bat much during his career. He has yet to score a run in ODIs. In his T20I career, he scored five runs. So far, he has scored just 17 runs in the IPL.
