Shikhar Dhawan and Ayesha Mukherjee have separated after 10 years of marriage. Ayesha announced their divorce on social media.
The star Indian batsman married Melbourne-based Ayesha in 2012 and adopted her two daughters from her first marriage. The couple had a son, Zoravar, after their marriage.
Boxer Ayesha shared the news on her Instagram account. She opened up about her two divorces and how she coped with them in an emotional post.
“Funny how words can have such powerful meanings and associations. I experienced this first hand as a divorcee. The first time I went through a divorce I was soooooooo scared. I felt like I had failed and I was doing something so wrong at that time,” Ayesha Mukherjee wrote.

“I felt as if I had let everyone down and even felt selfish. I felt that I was letting my parents down, I felt that I was letting my children down and even to some extent I felt as if I was letting God down. Divorce was such a dirty word,” she added.
Meanwhile, Dhawan has not confirmed or denied the reports.
The Indian team is likely to select Dhawan for the T20 World Cup in UAE and Oman in 2021. He captained India as well as played for India during the recent tour of Sri Lanka.
During the second leg of the IPL 2021, which takes place in the UAE, he will wear the Delhi Capitals’ colors. Before the league ended, he was in sensational form.
